FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s tennis team returns to fall competition this weekend in Iowa City, Iowa to compete in the ITA Central Regional Championship, held Oct. 21-25 at the Hawkeye Tennis Recreation Complex.
The ITA Central Regional Championship will feature student-athletes from 27 different schools in the region to compete in singles and doubles events; both with a first match consolation draw type.
Arkansas will send all nine members of the squad to Iowa to compete in singles and doubles action. Five of the nine Razorbacks competing in singles were seeded in the main draw, with Indianna Spink as the 3 seed, Kelly Keller at 9, Tatum Rice at 22, Morgan Cross at 36 and Lenka Stara at 38.
Senior Laura Rijkers along with juniors Claire Slaughter and Presley Southerland and freshman Grace O’Donnell will begin the tournament in qualifying singles play.
